Central to their objective of implementing the latest data analysis and statistical modelling techniques across the GCC, H.E. Sabir bin Said Al Harbi, Director General of the Statistical Centre for the Cooperation Council for the Arab Countries of the Gulf (GCC-Stat), headed a delegation to the International Conference on Big Data for Official Statistics in the Chinese capital, Beijing.

The Statistical Centre for the Cooperation Council for the Arab Countries of the Gulf (GCC-Stat) organised an honouring ceremony in appreciation of the efforts by the previous chairman and members of board of director.

The regional workshop on development and progress indicators was held in Omani capital Muscat on October 26th. The three-day workshop aims to identify the GCC-Stat requirements to improve its capacity to produce social and economic indicators that reflect the ongoing development of the GCC member states.
