The development of the monetary, financial, and balance of payments statistics based on the Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS)

Mainstreaming the General Data Dissemination System (GDDS) by the end of 2017.

 

One of the key strategic projects that seek to achieve the highest degrees of transparency and disclosure, coupled with full compatibility with the dissemination standards of monetary, financial and balance of payments statistics issued by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and endorsed by the international community. Through the adoption of this strategy, the GCC-Stat and the national statistical centers encourage all stakeholders – most notably the Central Banks – to apply those standards for all collection, analysis and dissemination of statistics.
